槲树，阔叶乔木，必须在一定地温下才能发芽生长，而且对周围环境有相当高的要求，不能受到任何污染，所以又被人们称为“环境监测树。”在公园内有近百亩，是江苏唯一仅存的一片，树枝高大伟岸，又少虬枝，同时还是半落叶树种，天生的美丽，招人喜爱。
